Device requirements

AI note generation requires an Apple Intelligence–capable device: iPhone 15 Pro or newer, or a Mac with Apple Silicon, with Apple Intelligence turned on.
On-device transcription and manual note templates work on a wider range of recent devices, so older iPhones still capture and transcribe sessions, even where AI drafting isn't available.
Languages (on-device): English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Mandarin). More arrive in future updates.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Generate Note unavailable?

AI note drafting runs on Apple Intelligence. If it's unavailable, one of these is usually the reason: your device doesn't support Apple Intelligence (needs iPhone 15 Pro or newer / an Apple-Silicon Mac); Apple Intelligence is switched off in Settings; the model is still downloading; or your device language/region isn't supported yet. On-device transcription and manual templates still work in the meantime.

Do my recordings or notes ever leave my device?

No. Transcription and note drafting happen entirely on your device, and nothing is sent to us or to any AI company. The only exception is if you turn on iCloud Sync, then your notes (not audio) are stored in your own private iCloud to reach your other devices. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

How does patient consent work?

Before every recording, you confirm that you've obtained the patient's consent. The attestation is logged with the session on your device. You can also record anonymous sessions with no patient record at all.

How do I paste a note into my EHR?

Approve the note, then use the ScribeOath keyboard: add it once under Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → ScribeOath, then switch to it in any text field (including EHR web forms) and tap the note to insert it. No "Full Access" is required, the keyboard reads approved notes from the app's secure container, never the network.

How do I sync between my iPhone, iPad, and Mac?

Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings on each device, signed into the same Apple Account, then relaunch the app. Patients, sessions, and notes will roam across your devices through your private iCloud. Audio recordings stay on the device that captured them.

How do I delete data?

Everything lives on your device, so you're in control: swipe or long-press to delete any session or patient (deleting a patient can also remove all their sessions), and choose how long audio is kept under Settings → Audio. Deleting the app removes its on-device data.
